From Forums of the Virgin Mary [translated for discernment]:
The amazing revelations made by the souls in Purgatory to Natuzza Evolo, in the process of beatification.
Today we want to tell you about the impressive gifts and revelations of Natuzza Evolo, a Calabrian mystic little known outside Italy, who died in 2009.
The Calabrian bishops initiated the cause for her beatification in 2014.
She had an extraordinary relationship with the souls of the deceased and a number of gifts that have rarely been seen.
Her visions of the souls in purgatory are comparable to those of [alleged Austrian mystic] Maria Simma and Padre Pio.
She was born in 1924 in Paravati, a small town in Calabria.
And not only was she very poor but completely uneducated and throughout her life her language would be the dialect of the region.
Since 2009, every November 1 a great pilgrimage takes place in Paravati, attended by hundreds of priests and the bishops in her honor.
Here we will talk about the gifts of Mama Natuzza, as she was called, and especially what the souls of purgatory transmitted to her about what happens after death.
You’re going to learn things you probably didn’t know about the afterlife!
Mama Natuzza had gifts such as visits from Jesus, Mary, angels, saints, and the deceased in general.
She had the gift of speaking in tongues, bilocation, the gift of haemography, the stigmata of Christ, and the ability to provide an accurate medical diagnosis using medical terms.
The gift of haemography or blood writings is the appearance on the skin of images and writings of a sacred nature, such as passages from the Bible for example. [Caution here: this is also seen in demonology.]
As if Natuzza’s body were a human printer.
An example of the blood phrases is “This is my body,” written in Latin.
Every Good Friday, Natuzza fell into a state of ecstasy, reliving the moments of Jesus’ Passion.
And she received a deep blow to the left hemithorax, reaching the heart and the wounds of Passion.
These painful physical wounds were accompanied by a supernatural joy.
And it all ended with the arrival of the hour of Jesus’ death, when Natuzza fainted.
The Blessed Virgin would appear to her in the guise of a beautiful girl of 15 or 16 years old.
And Saint Michael and her Guardian Angel, like children with curly hair.
And when she received her first communion, her mouth filled with blood.
On July 26, 1940, Natuzza fell into a deep sleep that lasted seven hours.
During this period, Natuzza found herself in a wonderful place, in paradise, in the Presence of Jesus, Who asked her to bring Him souls to love, to pity, and to suffer.
And Natuzza developed a particular ability to communicate with the souls of the deceased. [scroll for more:]
Many witnesses reported receiving messages from their deceased loved ones via Natuzza, often containing details known only to family members. [One is very cautious with such claims, for communicating with the deceased is very tricky business.]
At any rate, they allegedly showed her a photograph of a deceased person and she was able to tell whether he was in Heaven, purgatory, or hell.
Her guardian angel informed her whether that soul had more or less need for suffrages and holy Masses.
She could transmit messages from the living to the dead and vice versa but only when the dead appeared to her [for your discernment!].
Therefore, when people asked her for messages or answers to their questions from their deceased, Natuzza always replied that this wish depended solely on God’s permission and invited them to pray to the Lord for this wish; sometimes it was fulfilled and sometimes it was not.
She could see souls forty days after their death and quite didn’t know why.
They also told her about a place, the Green Meadow, which is the antechamber to paradise.
Natuzza could not distinguish whether the people she was talking to were alive or dead, except in the case of the souls in paradise because they were elevated from the ground.
She confirmed with her visions that after death, the soul of the deceased is led by the guardian angel to the presence of God and is judged down to the smallest detail.
According to Natuzza, purgatory is not so much a particular place as an internal state of the soul.
And souls do penance in the same earthly places where they lived and sinned.
It can be in the same houses inhabited during life.
Sometimes souls spend their purgatory within churches, until the phase of greatest atonement has been overcome.
The punishments of purgatory are always proportional to the sins committed by the soul.
And earthly suffering, if accepted with patience and offered to God, can greatly shorten purgatory: a month of earthly suffering could avoid, for example, a year of purgatory.
She claimed that the sufferings of purgatory can sometimes be harder than those of hell, but souls endure them willingly because they know that sooner or later they will have the eternal vision of God. [scroll for more:]
She related the case of a certain soul who had sinned gravely and remained standing for a long time on a precipice where on one side there was darkness, on the other the sea, and on the other fire, and the soul did not know whether it was in purgatory or hell.
It was only after forty years that she learned that the soul was saved and felt very happy.
The souls in purgatory always asked for prayers, alms, suffrages, and above all, holy Masses so that their sentences would be shortened.
And she said that during the celebration of the Mass, many souls crowd into the churches, waiting like beggars for the priest to pray for them.
And sometimes they have the comfort of their guardian angels.
Natuzza met many illustrious souls, for example Dante Alighieri, who revealed to her that he had spent three hundred years in purgatory before being able to enter Paradise, because although he had composed the “Divine Comedy” under divine inspiration, unfortunately his life had not been in keeping with it.
However, these gifts caused Natuzza some problems in her time.
The famous Franciscan doctor, Agostino Gemelli, who had a lot of power in the Church at that time, diagnosed Natuzza as suffering from a certain hysteria that made her imagine all this.
And in the 1940s, Natuzza was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for a few months.
Agostino Gemelli was the same one who started the persecution of Padre Pio when he diagnosed him as a psychopath, self-harmer, and swindler.
In 1944, Natuzza revealed that Our Lady had told her that in Paravati there would be a great new church to be known as the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Refuge of Souls and a home to relieve the needs of the young, the elderly, and many others who are in need.
And this church was inaugurated in 2022
Well, this is what we wanted to tell about Mama Natuzza’s gifts and especially the revelations that the souls in purgatory allegedly made to her.
Hundreds of testimonies of Natuzza’s communication with souls in purgatory can be found, some of them impressive.
