This is what Miss Universe Brazil 2025 Maria Gabriela Lacerda wrote in an Instagram post after she dressed as Our Lady during the 2025 Miss Universe National Costume Competition on November 19 in Thailand. Lacerda, who is Catholic, honored Our Lady of Aparecida, the patroness of Brazil, as an “external sign that reminds me of the commitment I made to Jesus through Our Lady.”
