From Forums of the Virgin Mary [translated from Portuguese; for discernment; views expressed are Forum’s]:
The Modernists’ Master Plan to create a new religion is revealed [Views expressed are not necessarily SD’s]
We are probably living in the days of one of the greatest losses of faith in history.
Laity, priests, and religious, parishes and entire denominations, are moving away from the biblical teachings of Jesus.
And yet they continue to call themselves Christians. And they don’t even realize that they are abandoning the faith.
And they wage war on those who remain faithful, joining the declared enemies of Christianity.
We are in the general apostasy of the Catholic faith that is prophesied by Christ and the apostles.
And of the spread of Russia’s errors, which Our Lady in Fatima came to warn about.
Until now this “current,” or hurricane, which is called modernism, has had a type of guerrilla work within the Church, without showing its face too much yet striking wherever it could.
And with this tactic it has generated apostasy in the pews of the “temples,” it has become strong in the seminaries, and it is increasingly visible in the life of the Church, because more and more bishops support modernist principles.
But perhaps we are at a turning point and its influence has escalated.
Here we will talk about what the ideology of modernism is within the Church, where it intends to go, what strategy it has used until now, and how it is now in a position to take a leap in its promotion.
Something seems to have changed in the balance of forces within the Church.
The Queen of Peace of Medjugorje warned in her message of September 25, 2023,
“Dear sons! I invite you to strong prayer. Modernism wants to enter your thoughts and steal the joy of prayer and the encounter with Jesus.”
And just nine days later, the first session of the Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Synodality in the Church began, where the modernist liberals were given the stage to sow their strategy of doubts and confusion among the faithful [SD note: though from indications thus far, they made no dramatic headway].
This is said taking into account the presentations that entire Episcopal Conferences have brought to the Synod.
It was a long-awaited opportunity [this first of two sessions] to spread the word about why Catholicism must move from a religion revealed by God, focused on the eternal salvation of souls, to a religion that promotes goodism, the absence of moral judgments, personal flourishing, and the agenda of worldly powers, where the goal is to make everyone feel included, appreciated, and affirmed in the personal decisions they make in life.
Unless they choose to embrace Catholicism focused on the eternal salvation of souls in Christ, which is the enemy of modernist liberals, or progressives.
And how can we define modernism?
It is the error that attempts to transform the Church, and all its beliefs, into something subjective, separating them from all transcendence.
It is “the synthesis of all heresies,” said Saint Pius X at the beginning of the twentieth century.
It appears at first glance as the intention to bring the Church up to date with the values of the world.
And therefore an immediate consequence is ecumenism?
Modernists do not speak of God but of the experience of God, in the desire to make Christianity acceptable to the great contemporary Western masses, because they maintain that God cannot be known.
Which has, as a consequence, the concealment of God’s claims towards man.
They maintain that this experience of God can be obtained anywhere without being bound by moralities.
Therefore, they consider that the most important thing is to tune in to the most popular demands of the time and try to decode them as an experience of God.
Ultimately, Christianity is no longer the revelation and fulfillment of the demands that God laid out in the Scriptures.
But the personal experience of the Divine in the middle of the world.
This theological movement has no unity, nor an established doctrine, and its axis is the deconstruction of the Catholicism of the apostles.
It is a new religiosity centered on man, which places pastoral care ahead of the Ten Commandments of God.
Where the supernatural is replaced by the natural, which disbelieves in the miracles told in the Bible, especially those in the Old Testament, and reduces them to mere legends.
They think that this way, they will be better accepted by those who embrace science as a creed.
They do not believe in the Catholic principle of biblical inerrancy in terms of faith and morals.
And so they analyze the Bible with the critical literary method instead of with the eyes of faith. [scroll for more]:
The intention of most of them is not to save souls from the devil [SD–it sometimes seems], but to save the world from capitalism.
By believing that religion is the product of human talent and genius, and not of Divine revelation given to men, they do not believe that the doctrine should always remain the same, because it was not produced by God Who is eternal and omniscient.
Therefore, the desire is not to submit to revelation, but for revelation to be submitted to human beings.
The modernist claims to preserve what is essential to Christian teaching, that God revealed Himself to men in the time of the Old Testament, and through Christ and the apostles.
And what men did was interpret that revelation according to the values of their time.
Therefore, there is no immutable morality and teaching of God for every era, but it must be adapted to each period of time.
But this is a contradiction.
Because then it doesn’t make much sense to convert to Christianity, if from the beginning you are told that doctrines, such as the Trinity and the Incarnation, are not really true, but only poetic ways of speaking.
So they ask converts to start by believing in the most traditional doctrines and then gradually move away from them.
Which makes modernism only a “parasite” of the doctrines it rejects, because it does not have an independent basis, but rather presupposes the traditional view that there really was a Divine revelation two millennia ago, but that the interpretation depends on each era.
That is why you hear modernists say “this and that was revealed two millennia ago, but the Church has misunderstood it for two millennia, now we have evolved in its understanding.”
Modernists deny the transmission of sin from Adam to his descendants.
They are skeptical about the miracles described in the Bible and in the lives of saints, as well as about Marian apparitions — everything supernatural.
They are skeptical about the transubstantiation of bread and wine into the flesh and Blood of Christ celebrated in Masses.
They consider God’s love isolated from His Justice, thus justifying moral permissiveness.
They refer to Holy Tradition, as deep-rooted customs.
They deny that the sinner has to undergo purifying suffering on earth or in purgatory, believing that it is enough for a sinner to desire salvation and he will be saved. They don’t believe in hell.
They minimize the importance of angelic and demonic powers in the history of the world and the moral life of each man.
They are inclined to consider demonic temptations as emotional effects and mental disorders.
But they do not say all this publicly because it would produce rejection, and even be considered heresy because they deny dogmatic principles of Catholicism.
Instead, they work to erode traditional beliefs and set up scenarios for people to deconstruct Christianity according to the values of the time.
Well, here at “Forums” [in South America] we wanted to talk about the advance of modernism, and what its creed and strategy are, to become hegemonic within the Church.
And we would like to ask you if you think that modernists have grown within the Church lately or not.
