From Church Pop:
On Aug. 6, 1998, a seven-year-old boy named Carlo Acutis knelt in prayer at the tomb of Saint Gemma Galgani in Lucca, Italy.
It was a simple act of devotion — unnoticed by the world, but unforgettable to the Passionist Fathers who take care of St. Gemma’s Shrine and who would later read the words he left behind in the visitors’ book. “As you can see, I let myself be guided by you. I’m afraid, but fear will not stop me! But stay close to me, together with Padre Pio. I love you both so much. Carlo.”
