From KTLA:
A 38-year-old man from Alabama reportedly in possession of high-capacity magazines, body armor, brass knuckles and knives was taken into custody late last month for threatening a Catholic monastery in Orange County, officials announced.
In a news release, investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said Joshua Michael Richardson first sent threatening emails to St. Michael’s Abbey in Silverado Canyon before eventually showing up at the abbey on Aug. 26 and delivering additional threats in person. A priest at St. Michael’s reported the incident to the sheriff’s department two days later.
