A large swarm of earthquakes has struck Southern California, less than 50 miles from millions of residents in Los Angeles. A cluster of 20 minor quakes broke out at 12.33pm ET and has continued to rock an area near the small city of Fillmore on Thursday.<[scroll for more:]
The earthquakes all registered between 1.1 and 3.3 in magnitude, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). Six of the earthquakes registered between 2.5 and 3.3 in magnitude, with all of them striking in a 10-minute stretch beginning at 1.21pm.
