“I was saddened by the results of the Bishops Conference in Baltimore. In essence, they accomplished nothing. The meetings were more on the line of a ‘good old boy’ annual homecoming. I honestly believe that they are so out of touch with the situation that they actually believe another group of conferences will solve the abuse crisis. How sad.
“Our churches are emptying and the lawsuits increasing to the point that parish real estate will have to be sold. Given that there is abuse deeply embedded within each diocese under the control of the ‘Lavender Mafia,’ money will have to come from somewhere. I noticed that Monsignor Rossi of the National Shrine is still serving as rector. Yet, Wuerl, Bransfield, and McCarrick all were stationed at the shrine.
“I see on the various websites that people who do attend a parish have stopped giving money in the collections. Pope Benedict called out a while back that the Church will grow much smaller. I see it crumbling into ashes. What is beginning to disrupt our Holy Church is Satan and simply pure evil. For the faithful, there must be the most gracious sympathies. For the discouraged good priests, there must be hope or they will leave. They get ‘hit on’ in seminaries and rectories. Where can they go? What they saw as a calling from Jesus Christ is no way present any longer?”
