Aloha Michael,
I saw your recent article in Spirit Daily about “Lights that impart Grace”. Here’s one of my own experiences and a photo I’d like to throw into the mix.
In a nutshell I went on pilgrimage to Lourdes, France, in October 2024. On our first night there – October 13th (note the date) – my pilgrimage group participated in the candlelight procession. As we got started, I took several photos of the immense crowd that had gathered to personally commemorate the awesome moment.
Later, while reviewing the pics in the hotel, I noticed a luminous figure in one of the photos—see the attached. If you zoom in on the left, one will see what looks uncannily like an image of a woman wearing a long veil; it wasn’t there when I first snapped the photo (other similar pics I took don’t show it either) … and it isn’t the sanctuary’s procession statue, which is actually captured in the middle.
My personal interpretation is that it’s a visual sign of our Blessed Mother’s maternal love and presence at Lourdes that is so powerfully felt at that holy place. One can even discern the figure of Baby Jesus at her chest.
And what about the date? We had just come from Fatima prior to Lourdes, and it was the anniversary of the final and most significant apparition of Our Lady of Fatima! Nothing happens by chance, I tell you … and I will always treasure my time at Lourdes (and Fatima), and the gift of this photo from Our Lady and Jesus.
Anyway, God bless you and keep up the good work!

Peter
