Call this psychomancy.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">As the general Christian author<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">Roberts Liardon says in\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/store.spiritdaily.com\/product-p\/gi-874.htm\">Haunted Houses, Ghosts, and Demons<\/a><\/span>, <\/em>&#8220;There are places that have been dedicated to Satan. I know of an entire country that was dedicated to Satan &#8212; the tiny island nation of Haiti.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><em>&#8220;Now Hait<\/em>i is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, if not the entire world, and it&#8217;s a country that is very much into demonism. Haiti has been through a series of repressive governments. It&#8217;s a place where you can still hear voodoo drums at night, and where, legend has it, zombies sometimes roam the countryside at night. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&#8220;I don&#8217;t believe in zombies,<\/span> but I do believe in the existence of demons and that they manifest themselves in a variety of ways.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><strong>&#8220;Some of Haiti&#8217;s troubles can be traced back more than two hundred years to one of the governors of Haiti, who was a satanist,&#8221; writes Liardon, for our discernment. &#8220;He had an official ceremony in\u00a0 which he dedicated the country to the devil and effectively handed over Haiti to Satan&#8217;s control. Haiti has had terrible trouble ever since.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Indeed, Haiti certainly has its &#8220;bad luck.&#8221; Many residents go hungry &#8212; sometimes even eating dirt in the desperate search for nutrients.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/s511775629.onlinehome.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Worship-In-Action-Haiti-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Worship In Action Haiti\" width=\"261\" height=\"174\" \/><strong style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;Why Is Haiti Such a Poor Country?&#8221; wondered\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/cbbcnews\/hi\/newsid_8460000\/newsid_8465800\/8465869.stm\">a befuddled BBC.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px;\"><b>And so stormy?<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><strong>1994 &#8211; Hurricane Gordon kills hundreds<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><strong>1998 &#8211; Hurricane Georges destroys eighty percent of crops<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><strong>2004 &#8211; Floods kill 2,600<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><strong>2004 &#8211; Tropical Storm Jeanne kills 1,900<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>2007 &#8211; Tropical Storm Noel triggers mudslides and floods<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>2008 &#8211; Three hurricanes and tropical storm kill 800<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><em><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>2010 &#8211; Quake hits Port-Au-Prince, killing thousands<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The voodoo, originating in West Africa, and sometimes mixed into Catholic traditions, has been exported to areas such as New Orleans, Louisiana, and Savannah, Georgia &#8212; cities that have had their fair share of storms and other misfortunes (and good old hauntings).<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/media\/images\/47134000\/jpg\/_47134920_008563612-1.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for haiti poor\" width=\"252\" height=\"121\" \/><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">In the same way,<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">dark spirits can also occupy our neighborhoods or homes or rooms where sin has been committed.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Wise is the Christian who purges the dwelling of any port of entry &#8212; whether wrong practices or simple items such as occult or sexual books; wise is the Catholic who watches what comes through the TV and computer. For it takes but a small fissure for the smoke of Satan to pour through. And like Haiti, the fruit is misfortune.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><em>[resources: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spiritdaily.com\/retreatlongisland.htm\">Michael H.
