And she certainly does that! Few things are more powerful than the Rosary. (Isn&#8217;t it a tragedy how many young people &#8212; becoming &#8220;nones,&#8221; instead of nuns, will never know that, and will be exposed to the evil one as a result?)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-iOX6WINRM0Y\/UJG1NUV0RwI\/AAAAAAAAAjM\/0ngFwaPMY8Y\/s1600\/virgin-mary-pics-1017.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for VIRGIN MARY BLUE\" \/>&#8220;To understand this we must first have the idea of the seven-color\u00a0<\/strong><strong>band of the rainbow,&#8221; notes a viewer named Jackson in Goa, India. &#8220;<\/strong><strong>In this color band, blue-violet takes the highest place whereas r<\/strong><strong>ed-orange takes the lowest place.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>This has also to do with one&#8217;s spirituality level. A holy person\u00a0<\/strong><strong>mostly chooses the higher colors of this color band as his favorite\u00a0<\/strong><strong>color.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>In other words one can come to know how holy a person is through his\u00a0<\/strong><strong>favorite color.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Now the dominant color is white and God prefers garments of white.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The next color after white is the blue-violet and the Virgin Mary prefers\u00a0<\/strong><strong>this color because she is next to God. Blue<\/strong><strong>\u00a0was also used for the curtains of the tabernacle (<em>Exodus<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>26) and the Virgin Mary is the living Tabernacle.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><strong>Another reason for blue,\u00a0says a viewer, is\u00a0<em>Numbers<\/em> 15:37-41: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>\u201cThe Lord said to Moses, \u2018Speak to the Israelites and say to them: Throughout the generations to come, you are to make tassels on the corners of one\u2019s garments, with a blue cord on each tassel.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>You will have these tassels to look at and so will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by going after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.&#8217;\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Fr. John Mackenzie at\u00a0Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in\u00a0Pittsfield, New Hampshire reminds us that\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>&#8220;in Chapter One of the Book of Ezekiel &#8212; in his vision of God&#8217;s glory &#8212; there are angelic creatures directly below the firmament where the throne of God rests. <em>Ezekiel<\/em> 1:26: &#8216;Above the firmament over their heads something like a throne could be seen looking like sapphire.&#8217; Sapphire blue is the color of God&#8217;s Throne, according to Ezekiel. <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>&#8220;For Mary to be dressed in blue means that she is above the angels next to or closely associated with the Throne of God.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Also, to paint your doors and windows and sills blue was in effect to say to the malignant spirits, &#8216;God is enthroned in this place and in our hearts.'&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/67.media.tumblr.com\/02aac95229361c6ed9b735929533fa82\/tumblr_mm15hamIHI1rxcftco1_500.gif\" alt=\"Image result for VIRGIN MARY BLUE\" \/>&#8220;Many sites online. including art therapy, psychology, and design sites, state that the main emotions elicited by the color blue are feelings of calm, serenity, trust, safety, and security,&#8221; wrote Kathy Harum. &#8220;Our Heavenly Mother is always inviting us to spiritual safety and to peace.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: verdana, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000; background-color: #fff;\">\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473430909496_13180\" dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473430909496_13342\">&#8220;The Virgin Mary of Nazareth, probably never wore blue due to the cost of the dyed fabric which one would have to own a license,&#8221; asserts a viewer named Jed. &#8220;But blue became her color in the Medieval period as devotion to her grew and they wanted a color of royalty for her but not the pagan, temporal purple of the earthly rulers.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473430909496_13342\">Blue became her color because, <\/span><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473430909496_13186\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473430909496_13343\">to those during the Medieval period,<\/span>\u00a0it represented the celestial firmament.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><strong><strong>&#8220;I have always assumed that Mary is in blue apparel because she is the Ark of the New Covenant, according to the Book of Numbers, Chapter Four; the Ark of the Old Covenant had to be covered with a blue cloth\/skin whenever it was to travel,&#8221; notes\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><strong>Mark Tabish of\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Mico, Texas. &#8220;<\/strong><strong>A<\/strong><strong>s God passed by, Moses peeked through his fingers and saw an azure steak of light. \u00a0It was from that moment onward that the color blue had been associated with God. We are alive in the universe because earth has an atmosphere and we are shielded from space.
