As Bloomberg<\/em> reported<\/a> <\/span>Saturday: “Hillary Clinton\u2019s campaign will participate in vote recounts of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan if they take place, drawing a rebuke from Donald Trump\u2019s team that the Democrat is being a ‘sore loser’ and part of a ‘ridiculous’ effort.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n “If Green Party candidate Jill Stein initiates recounts in those states as she intends, the Clinton campaign ‘will participate in order to ensure the process proceeds in a manner that is fair to all sides,’ Clinton campaign lawyer Marc Elias said Saturday in a post on the blogging website Medium.com. He added that he doesn\u2019t expect the action to overturn Trump’s election.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Now here’s today’s London Guardian<\/em><\/a><\/span>: “Constitutional lawyers and White House ethics counselors from Democratic and Republican administrations have warned Donald Trump his presidency might be blocked by the electoral college if he does not give up ownership of at least some of his business empire.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, WorldNetDaily<\/em> reports<\/a><\/span><\/span> that electors in Michigan (there are sixteen) are receiving death threats from Hillary supporters who want them to switch their votes to Clinton. “There are more than a dozens states with no law making it illegal to change their votes while others have only a minor penalty such as a fine for doing so. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n If Clinton\u2019s supporters can get enough of the\u00a0163 electors from\u00a0states where Trump both won and votes can be legally switched on Dec. 19 [when the Electoral College votes], Hillary Clinton becomes the next president of the United States.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The odds against it are very high.<\/span> Higher still — astronomical — is a prediction from a reputed and controversial mystic from Illinois who has boldly asserted that he was supernaturally<\/strong> <\/span>“told in the Spring of 2008 was that Barack Obama would win that year\u2019s election, that he would not finish his full term, and that the next stable national leader would not come from the political system.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n I understand why people would figure that meant there would be no election this year. It is the most obvious scenario, but it is not the only scenario in which it would fit. There could be an election in which things explode after the election, but before an inauguration. In another scenario, President Obama could assume emergency powers and extend his term indefinitely, in which case it would end abruptly with the coup that would inevitably follow.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Added the seer, on August 28, 2016, “If, next January, Barack Obama peacefully hands over the reins of power to Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, I will declare myself unreliable and go away.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Insightful and intelligent guy. But talk about time-tables, and going out on a limb.
