Later that morning, the Defense Department released a video of a single torpedo detonating under the Iris Dena\u2019s stern, sending a large plume of water skyward. The frigate\u2019s hull can be seen tearing apart along its port quarter above the waterline.\u00a0At\u00a0<a class=\"css-yywogo\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.war.gov\/News\/Transcripts\/Transcript\/Article\/4421037\/secretary-of-war-pete-hegseth-and-chairman-of-the-joint-chiefs-of-staff-gen-dan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a Pentagon briefing<\/a>, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the sinking \u201cquiet death,\u201d while Gen.
