A silver pendant depicting the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus gleamed around her neck under the bright lights of a recording studio in Michigan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-ac37hb evys1bk0\">Across the table, Sister John Dominic Rasmussen sat ready to record an upcoming episode of \u201cDominican Sisters Open Mic,\u201d a new podcast produced by the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, in Ann Arbor. (The women are referred to as sisters, not nuns, who are cloistered.)\u00a0In each episode, a host, typically Sister Miriam, 44, interviews a guest, usually another sister, about her life, covering subjects like her education \u2014 several of the women have Ph.D.s \u2014 or her conversion journey.
