The thief also stole the donations from the chapel\u2019s votive candles. This act is \u201cnot only a theft perpetrated in a sacred space, but a sacrilege that offends the Lord present in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist,\u201d Cardinal Reina wrote in a <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.diocesidiroma.it\/furto-allaurelia-hospital-preghiere-di-riparazione-nelle-chiese-di-roma\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">public letter<\/a>\u00a0on June 19.
