Brad Little signed into law a bill to make people who sexually abuse young children in Idaho eligible for the death penalty.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/legislature.idaho.gov\/sessioninfo\/2025\/legislation\/H0380\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">House Bill 380<\/a> will allow the death penalty in a new criminal charge the bill creates: aggravated lewd conduct with children age 12 and younger.\u00a0The bill also would add mandatory minimum prison sentences for cases of aggravated lewd conduct with minors that don\u2019t meet the bill\u2019s proposed criteria for death penalty eligibility.
