These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. It amazes me how brazen some Christians can be\u2014how easily we forget that our words and actions within the Body of Christ carry eternal weight. Among the seven things the Lord calls an abomination is \u201che that soweth discord among brethren.\u201d It\u2019s nestled right there beside \u201chands that shed innocent blood.\u201d We might glance past that list, thinking one sin is worse than another\u2014but in God\u2019s eyes, discord in His Body is as deadly as murder. And when we pause to really think about it\u2026 it is murder. Maybe not the kind that spills blood, but the kind that kills the spirit.<\/p>\n
