Chad Ripperger, the Colorado-based celebrity exorcist whose recent appearances on highly rated podcasts have reached millions of viewers this year, has agreed to a one-year break from public speaking and interviews at the request of Archbishop James Golka, the <a href=\"https:\/\/archden.org\/archdiocese-of-denver-statement-on-fr-ripperger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Archdiocese of Denver announced<\/a> on October 19.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time Denver has attempted to rein in the popular priest. Correspondence obtained by Where Peter Is shows that in 2025, under Golka\u2019s predecessor, Archbishop Samuel Aquila, the archdiocese investigated Ripperger\u2019s public statements on mental health, placed interim restrictions on his ministry, and then issued a formal decree limiting what he may say and write about psychology and psychiatry.
