O&#8217;Neill, New York Civil Court Judge Karen May Bacdayan wrote that &#8220;the time has arrived&#8221; for polyamorous relationships to have legal rights, and said that the problem with previous same-sex rulings is that &#8220;they recognize only two-person relationships.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0&#8220;What was &#8216;normal&#8217; or &#8216;nontraditional&#8217; in 1989 is not a barometer for what is normal or nontraditional now,&#8221; Bacdayan wrote in her decision. &#8220;Indeed, the definition of &#8216;family&#8217; has morphed considerably since 1989.
