Lord’s Prayer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

By a 15-year-old school kid<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

who got an A+ for this entry<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Lord’s Prayer is not allowed in most\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n U.S. Public schools any more.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n A kid in Minnesota, wrote the following\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

NEW School Prayer:-<\/em><\/strong><\/span>
\n ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Now I sit me down in school\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n Where praying is against the rule\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n For this great nation under God\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n Finds mention of Him very odd.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n If scripture now the class recites,\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n It violates the Bill of Rights.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n And anytime my head I bow\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n Becomes a Federal matter now.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n Our hair can be purple, orange or green,\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n That’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene..\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n The law is specific, the law is precise.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n For praying in a public hall\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n Might offend someone with no faith at all..\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n In silence alone we must meditate,\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n God’s name is prohibited by the State..<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks…\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n They’ve outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n To quote the Good Book makes me liable.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n And the ‘unwed daddy,’ our Senior King.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n It’s ‘inappropriate’ to teach right from wrong,\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n We’re taught that such ‘judgments’ do not belong..\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n We can get our condoms and birth controls,\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles…\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n No word of God must reach this crowd.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n It’s scary here I must confess,\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n When chaos reigns the school’s a mess.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n So, Lord, this silent plea I make:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n Should I be shot; My soul please take!\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Amen\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
