IN HEALTH MATTERS, ASK HOLY SPIRIT AND EAT WHAT IS CLOSEST TO WAY HE MADE IT
When
it comes to your health, let the Holy Spirit guide you. We have mentioned
this in line of diet (and controlling weight). Let Him be a guide for everything
physiological. He will do so in
prayer, if you ask -- indicating, in many ways, what is good for you (and what
is not), indicating which cravings are from Him -- are what you need --
and those that are, well, simply cravings.
He will guide you through physicians and nurses (especially if those health-care givers are spiritual).
He will do so in your intuition.
Health and good eating are not always an intellectual pursuit. They are not discerned only in the physical. When we realize this, we often solve issues, alleviate ailments, or prevent them to begin with.
Arthritis? Pray to the Lord for what you should eat to lubricate your joints. Allergies? Ask Him to cleanse your immune system. Diabetes? Request that Jesus grant you self control, if that has played any part in the development of the illness.
Granted, the body is a material entity that is greatly influenced by physical factors: Bacteria, viruses, chemicals, and other aspects of the physical play a big part in your health.
But they do not play the only role. The body is overseen by our spiritual constructs, and it is the spirit that transmits directions to the physical, that organizes us. The spiritual can affect every cell. And when there is prayer, the spirit is in a special position to correct abnormalities.
This is how many miracles occur.
It is also how we protect ourselves at a time when there are what often seem like overwhelming physical factors coming against us.
Each day the spirit should be directed in the Name of Jesus (and through His Holy Spirit) to protect and heal our cells. It encompasses us at every level and should be invoked to protect every organ, tissue, and cell.
Have you not noticed how frustrating it is to try and figure matters out for ourselves? One year eggs are bad for us. Then they are good. We are told to drink eight glasses of water a day. Then we are told that studies don't support that recommendation. Each week, there is a new vitamin that is a panacea.
In fact, there are certain good things for us but each body is different and that's why, along with the suggestions of doctors, we need to ask the Holy Spirit what we should drink and eat.
Does the Spirit even speak through the very construction of vegetables and fruits?

Ironic it is (and only ironic, at this point) how -- as one e-mail floating around the internet puts it -- "A
sliced carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye...and yes science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes. A tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart is red and has four chambers. All of the research shows tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food."
"
Grapes
hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks Can we really put stock in such?
"Kidney
beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look
exactly like the human kidneys," it is pointed out. "Celery, bok, choy,
rhubarb and more look just like bones. These foods specifically target
bone strength. Bones are 23 percent sodium and these foods are 23 percent
sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it
from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs
of the body.

"Eggplant,
avocadoes and pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix
of the female
-- they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a
woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth
weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? .... It
takes exactly nine months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit.
There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in
each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about
141 of them). Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs
increase the motility of male sperm and increase the numbers of sperm to
swell to overcome male sterility."
Hmmm.
We'll try to keep an open mind. The world -- and food in it -- are more mysterious than we know. Our advice is to eat what is closest to the way God made it -- forsaking anything artificial (and especially anything that is modified genetically).
Watch out for plastics, pesticides, and margarine. Lighten up on the salt (unless your body needs it). You can lose weight right away by stopping your hand with the salt shaker. Keep away from too much of food that is hydrogenated.
As for the way fruits and vegetables appear: we'll take it under advisement.

"Sweet
potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of
diabetics," we are told. "Olives assist the health and function of the
ovaries. Grapefruits, oranges, and other citrus fruits look just like the
mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts
and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
"Onions look like body cells. Today's research shows that onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes."
Submitted for your considered judgment -- or at least discussion around the (pure spring) water cooler.
