We are entering "the time of denouement (which will come in stages)." It is a word sent our way (for your judgment). That will be followed by "the time of dismantling." Then will come "the time of confrontation." After that will come "the time of a distant light."

What this means and whether it is true is as much your guess as anyone else's.

We submit this all for your consideration at a time of prophetic utterance -- blather to some, serious to others.

The Holy Spirit does nothing, it says in Scripture, without telling His servants the prophets. Are we at a time when many are being told something? Is it time to revisit Jeremiah?

In our view, the most dangerous matter on the horizon has to do with cloning and human embryonic stem-cell research. We believe that these two issues were presented as a test for mankind -- after it failed the test of abortion -- and that we are on the cusp of failing this test also (perhaps a final exam).

It was in 1994 that President Bill Clinton opened the door to such research, providing research funding (although strictly disallowing the destruction of embryos).

The door was nudged open a bit more by President George Bush when (just before September 11) he allowed research on a limited number of stem-cell lines from embryos that already had been destroyed. That didn't kill infants at their earliest stage, but it used the "blood" of these little martyrs.

Now president Barack Obama has opened the door wider still, expanding the number of stem-cell lines, allowing for destruction of existing embryos (many frozen for couples who sought fertility), and paving the way to what some believe will be legislation allowing the cloning of embryos to harvest their stem cells -- from which many different cells, tissues, and organs, in theory, will be grown (to replace diseased ones in humans).

It all sounds very beneficial, and this is what the "1990 prophecy" (which we continue to discern) predicted: that four years from that prophecy a "great new evil" would arrive as a test, an evil comparable to abortion, and that it would "appear to have beneficial and convenient aspects."

Cloning and destruction of embryos ("comparable to abortion") fit the bill. And so we move into the era of denouement -- in our opinion. The dictionary tells us that "denouement" means:

a. The final resolution or clarification of a dramatic or narrative plot.

b. The events following the climax of a drama or novel in which such a resolution or clarification takes place.

c. The outcome of a sequence of events; the end result.

"Catastrophe" is a synonym.

At the least, let us say that it means a heightened time.

Things will begin to clarify. We will start to see how God will purify.

What might be meant by "stages"? What about "dismantling"? Is that the dismantling of evil constructs? How far will that go? How many constructs are there?

What is the extent of evil around us?

Is our society on an entirely wrong course?

And who to blame?

It is easy to point a finger at politicians. The best chance at overturning Roe vs. Wade was lost when the first President Bush -- faced with a pivotal Supreme Court appointment in 1990 -- chose Justice David Souter, who ended up siding with the pro-choice contingent. He was the "swing" vote. Abortion remained legal. That presidency was followed by the three presidents who moved us into the era of embryonic stem cells. There is thus plenty of blame to go around.
