The Imitation of Mary, by Abbe Alexander de Rouville. No sooner had the incomparable Imitation of Christ appeared than the faithful began to spontaneously wish for an imitation of Our Lady, and finally, in 1768, a monk pulled together a little powerhouse of meditation on the different mysteries and circumstances of her life, from the Immaculate Conception to her Assumption into Heaven! Hi,

When my girlfriend and I where 16 years old, I was vacationing with her and her family at Bethany Beach, Delaware and we were swimming in the ocean one early afternoon and did not realize the rip tide was very strong when suddenly realize we were so far out that we could only see the people on the beach and they seemed to be only about an inch tall.  The harder we swam the further back the tide took us, being young, we were both very frightened and my girlfriend was crying and I started giggling because I was also frightened and could not calm her nerves and could not relax.  When out of nowhere a good looking man in his early 30’s, dark hair and well built popped up on his small boogie board and we asked him if we could hold onto it and he could take us to shore.  He did not speak but nodded yes………….he had not problem getting us back to shore quickly as we held on to the sides of his boogie board.  When we got to the shore, my girlfriend asked her mom why she did not get help for us after all if it wasn’t for that nice man that brought us directly to the shore, we would surely have drowned.  Her mom said; “What man” there was no man, near either one of you, you both were alone and we looked around and the man VANISHED.”   My girlfriend and I say it was our angel that saved our lives and thank God because we wouldn’t be here today to share this story.

Thank you for letting share the story with Spirit Daily.

God Bless,
