Special report:

DISCERNMENT ALL THE MORE CRITICAL AS DRAMATIC PROPHECIES COME FROM ALL SIDES, INCLUDING A PREDICTION OF A NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST IN NEW YORK

By Michael H. Brown

©2014

What do you say when there's a woman out there -- an "average" woman, a mother, originally from New York, since moved away -- who claims (insists, gently but firmly) that she was told by a voice that New York City, specifically Manhattan, was in for some sort of nuclear event, if not a holocaust?

Pretty frightening stuff. We're always wary of what frightens. It all points up the problems of prophecy: how to sift through claims of precognition -- of knowing things in advance -- and (as Scripture say) how to keep only what seems to be good.

A nuclear attack on America's largest city -- on the most famous urban center on earth?

Let's take a look at this, and other claimed prophecies, at this time of so much turmoil.

And turmoil there is.

Beyond Ferguson, beyond New York, beyond government, beyond all the bickering and divisiveness and potential upheaval (as in: major upheaval, which I think is to come) is the turmoil in Mother Nature.

Just recently, I was in Kansas City, Missouri, where the temperatures plunged to 17 or 18 degrees Fahrenheit -- two weeks before Thanksgiving (or better said, more than a month before the official onset of winter!).

When I got back home to Florida -- where it also had been unseasonably cold -- the story was rain.

Headed back to the airport for another trip shortly after Missouri, I barely made it down Interstate 95 and across I-4 due to a true deluge of precipitation: lightning seeming to detonate right in front of my car.

I never saw that much rain last for so long, at least not while driving.

My flight was delayed because of it.

My destination was Buffalo, New York -- where some suburbs had just incurred up to seven feet of snow!

California has a drought while other parts of the world see deluges of rain -- and then, this week, rain hits those parched parts of California, record rain.

Don't we "get it"?

Things are swerving all around us.

There is record cold and snow cover in the Northern Hemisphere while there's record heat in places like South America or Australia. As the recent cliche puts it, don't we "get that"?

So, yes, there is turmoil. There are gyrations. It is precisely what climatologists and meteorologists predicted would happen back in 1999, when I interviewed literally dozens of them (around the world) about the shift in climate. They told me we would see more rain; we would see more violent rain and flooding. We would see more snow (even if globally there was a warming trend). We would see more drought.

The question, though, is what is causing the climate shifts, and I go along with what is now a majority of those polled in one recent survey: it's part of a signal from Heaven. Most Americans now believe that climate events signal that we are in apocalyptic-like times -- 49 percent, according to the Public Religion Research Institute.

Things are going to change. Our very landscape is going to be and is being altered.

Some of it will be gradual. Some will be sudden. As Our Sunday Visitor said in an article that first mentioned his focus on the poor, "Francis is all that, but he’s also more — something his image as a social activist and agent of structural change might not lead you to expect. In short, this Pope is a believer in the end times who’s convinced they aren’t merely coming but are, in a sense, already being played out before our eyes. This, likewise, is someone who believes the devil is real and perceives a demonic hand at work in current events."

Asked another news outlet, Aleteia, "Does Pope Francis see the bland, pan European secular bureaucracy as a sinister power that threatens the whole world? Is there an apocalyptic edge to the Pope’s powerful challenge to Europe? This may be emerging as the predominant theme of this papacy—a challenge to the one world power that threatens to sweep the globe in a frightening efficiency, creating the climate for the anti-Christ."

Such a personage of evil will come, I believe, after the chastisements cause that tremendous change in landscape, perhaps before the mid-point of this century, and for all we know sooner.

The tempo is increasing. It has been increasing for decades. But not like this -- and it is independent of politics. There is alarm in Heaven over the very course of our societies.

A whole pack of prophets in various walks of religions and life are feeling some form of strong "pulse" -- from Born-Againers who believe a "rapture" to Protestants who see it as the straight-out end-times and the Second Coming to those who say they glimpsed the future during near-death experiences and Jews who are still awaiting a messiah -- to Muslims who think a mystical leader called the Mahdi is coming, to psychics and New Agers who use terms like "earth changes," all in addition to those prophecies said to be contained in secrets from the Blessed Mother in Catholic Marian circles.

Do I believe we will see a huge geophysical event -- perhaps a quake?

Yes. I think that's in the cards.

There have been many quakes. These seem to be of increasing relevance. There are many loud rumblings and "booms" around the world. Are they geologic? Just last week (November, 2014), a newspaper in the UK reported that "dozens of Twitter uses from London to Glasgow claimed to have heard the strange noises, which sounded like fireworks or loud aircraft and occurred between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Some suggested it sounded like 'aircraft sonic booms' and pointed to Russian airships that were performing 'routine military exercises' while passing through the English Channel. What are the mystery 'explosions'? The Ministry of Defense denied any knowledge of jets being scrambled."

These booms were also heard in New York State.

Hmmmm.

Is something indeed afoot (under our feet) -- geophysically? Is the core or at least lower layers of the planet shifting (as Maria Esperanza indicated)?

A good number of prophets have "seen" massive quakes and volcanoes, including the creation of large lakes and large rents in the earth's crust across America's heartland -- from the Great Lakes down through the Midwest.

We'll investigate this a bit further in a future report, along with those "rumblings." These I think are significant.

I remember speaking to a seer in Kibeho, Rwanda, who told me that during her apparitions she had been shown boulders and even mountains crashing against each other, with fire or sparks.

Is an urban nuclear event in the mix?

Now we get back to that woman and New York City, whose prophecy has gone somewhat viral. Remember: by the fruits you will know them. If it causes fear (a bitter fruit) be on your guard.

It was on YouTube, in a series of videos, that the supposed locutionist, who has not identified herself by actual name on Youtube, said (for your discernment):

"I'm an average person who has been proving for three years now that I have dreams and visions that come true afterwards. You can verify by clicking on playlist [on a YouTube link]. I saw a vision of the Japanese tsunami hitting and I uploaded it three months before it happened. I had a dream of the Boston bombing and I uploaded it a month before it happened. I had a vision of Hurricane Sandy and uploaded that a year before it happened. And that's just a few. They're verifiable on a YouTube playlist.

"So, I just want you to know that first before I continue, because I know this sounds crazy, but I saw a vision two years ago of a nuclear event in New York City and I uploaded this vision on December 4, 2012.

"In that vision of a nuclear event, I was shown a giant white 'balloon man' in New York City. I know that sounds weird and it seemed weird to me also at the time, but the reason I'm telling you this now is that [recently] a movie called Big Hero 6 opened in New York and they set up a giant white balloon man in Times Square in honor of that! I just want you to know I'm not trying to cause fear in anybody. I personally do not know what will or will not happen and I can't tell you what to do. That's not what I'm trying to do. All I ask that you pray to God for confirmation of whether this vision is meant as a warning. I don't expect anyone to take my word for it alone and I know this society has zero respect for dreams and visions and many of the dreams and visions have come true after the fact so I have to warn you. I hope it doesn't come true. But so many have come true.

"It's very bizarre to me. It would be wrong for me not to tell you. In the vision two years ago, I saw what looked like a nuclear event and boils on people's skin next to the Statue of Liberty and this giant white balloon man. And there it is in Times Square right now. It's not a hoax. Just look at the proof. I personally did leave New York after the visions started. I just feel a responsibility to make you aware of this."

She once lived in Brooklyn Heights. She sounds like a young, college-educated mom -- the type whose husband worked on Wall Street (as she speaks on one video, in a hushed tone, a baby seems to have awakened and is crying). She says she is a believer but "not religious." It was three years ago that the presumed visions began. She was going through a "hard time" at that particular juncture in her life. From all appearances, she posted an accurate prediction about the March 11, 2011, quake and tsunami, warning that an astronomical "alignment" was going to cause a disruption along the 'Ring of Fire" (on which Japan, among other nations, sits). She saw the geophysical disturbance, allegedly, the previous January.

Do I believe her?

Let's put it this way:

There are different prophecies. Some seem contrived. Some seem very imaginative (especially when there's too much detail). Some even seem occult. Some may be the product of eccentricity (the woman above also believes that since childhood, the military has conducted secret tests on her brain!).

Thus: caution (to say the least).

I know a number of things about Marian seers and locutionists behind the scenes, things that have likewise given me pause. This alleged seer "saw" a missile hitting Manhattan.

Among other things, I would ask: but isn't it far likelier, if there were to be such an event in New York, or any other major American city (and I believe such an attack is possible), that it would come in the way of something like a truck bomb?

There long have been rumors that the U.S. and Russia have the capability of packing a small such weapon in a suitcase (some believe the Russians once planted a number of them in various locales around the country, especially near power plants, including one in Upstate New York). I have no idea about all that. It seems a bit farfetched. But how about a nuclear device -- slipped past our porous borders and reassembled?

That is certainly in the realm of the possible -- and why Homeland Security regularly does radiological "sweeps" down streets in places like Manhattan, sweeps that could detect hidden sources of suspect radiation.

Such detection is also at the Canadian border and elsewhere, for all we know.

China is also capable.

Might they slip the technology to terrorists?

Recently, a truck-bomb plot against Oprah Winfrey was uncovered. So was an attack on five British airliners.

The woman above also lived -- and left -- Los Angeles, due to the fear of an earthquake. A quake in California is of course a future event anyone might predict or fret about. Is such a prediction too predictable?

On her list: visions that she says foresaw everything from a bombing in Nigeria to Occupy Wall Street and those "zombie" attacks of a couple years ago, plus Hurricane Sandy. There are dates on some videos but I could not confirm that the predictions were actually made on those dates.

She says she foresaw a shift in the earth's axis (which indeed occurred, by just a few inches, after the quake that caused the Japanese Tsunami, leading one expert to claim major quakes would one day soon destroy a city such as Tokyo, Tehran, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Mexico City).

At any rate: what she had said in her prediction posted she says on March 9, 2011 was that a slight shift in axis would cause a big earthquake in one of those cities on March 11 to March 15, when an asteroid would be in alignment. She told people to get out of major areas on the "Ring of Fire." The Fukushima event occurred on March 11.

"The Japan Quake and axis shift happened March 11, 2011. I was shown a vision of this in January 2011. I was also shown a much bigger shift and a smaller object hitting the earth, and a pinkish object that looked like the moon except much bigger. Something is coming. Please prepare."

In the video, her voice gets almost angry -- insisting people believe her.

This causes me great pause.

"I don't want to curse and I don't want to yell, but that's how I feel right now," she intones.

So far, those cities she warned about evacuating remain intact.

She also mentions that New Madrid fault.

So many know about this and those other places. And so many "prophecies" that come through locution are a result of the person's own thinking (a regurgitation of the subconscious).

Keep that in mind, always. She also says she has had dreams and visions of Los Angeles, which is why she moved. She relates it to alignment of a comet that she further believes is linked to the red dragon in Revelation.

On October 4, 2011, she apparently uploaded a short clip saying she had a vision of two words: BIG WAVE (and was told to post them on signs on the beach).

She calls the times she dreams about "watch dates."

"After they're uploaded these things happen."

The problem?

When I looked into it further, I found that besides the axis shift and asteroids or comets, she pontificates on global enslavement, illuminati, earth changes, and, well, you get the picture: aspects may be legitimate, but too much is boiler-plant apocalypticism or there is a New Age ring in it, and she is compared to Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce.

All this is by way of saying: watch what you accept on the internet, and remember that deceptive spirits, though in the end deceiving, mix in the truth, and that can include foretelling certain events -- some of which will happen.

Indeed, back on December 22, 2004, I was made aware of an additional prophecy given in the early hours allegedly to the person who received the "1990 prophecy." You can view the original here. This second one started with these words:

"There is going to be a major disruption in a region of the world that will affect everyone. The world is now seriously out of conformance with the Will of God and what He created and intended. There are those who would reconfigure the very creatures He has formed, and who meddle with the texture of life. For this reason, the Lord will allow a huge reorientation."

Speaking of big waves, this was given just three days before the Asian tsunami that killed tens of thousands due to an ocean quake. Coming so soon after the December 22 missive, was this the foretold "major disruption"? You can see it here.

The person only rarely received such words, and they don't seem boiler-plate or contrived. It had been fourteen years since the last.

Yet, the Asian tsunami, while somehow related to that second "word of knowledge" or prediction, due to timing, was perhaps too "small" an event, since the message said the event -- though regional, as the prediction implied -- said it would affect "everyone."

Was it instead a harbinger -- a "pre-sign," of a great similar event in the wings?

We are back to geology.

Prophecy is very difficult, to say the least; and events can change. We must go by the sense of them. To become immersed in the details or enthralled with any one seer is to invite trouble -- that is, to accept something too avidly (or quickly).

The best way to discern is to fast along with prayer, extensively.

Fasting often chases deception away.

Back in 1937, a fellow named Joe Brandt claimed to have seen a huge quake in California during a "near-death" experience -- visions that kept repeating. I have his full account at the bottom of this article (for discernment only).

"I noticed there was a quietness about the air, a kind of stillness," he says at some point about his vision. "Something else was missing, something that should be there. At first, I couldn't figure it out, I didn't know what it was—then I did. There were no birds. I listened. I walked two blocks north of the Boulevard—all houses—no birds. I wondered what had happened to them. Had they gone away? Again, I could hear the stillness. Then I knew something was going to happen..."

Our times are certainly strange.

There are also lights in the sky -- so very many reports of mysterious aerial luminosities.

This too we shall explore in a future report.

Recently, Time Magazine reported on one case of a huge, mysterious flash of light. A meteor, a military launch — or something much more sinister?" it asked. "The sky above Russia’s remote Sverdlovsk region erupted in light last Friday, and despite it having been captured on numerous video recordings—particularly dashboard cameras, it seems—no one seems to know what the flash of light was." Just before that, a report in China.

I think back at that prediction I call the 1990 prophecy that foresaw "strange loud rumblings" and how that addendum to that prediction many years later said, "When the huge light is seen, I will act in a way I have not acted before."

I don't think what happened in Russia is large enough to be called "huge."

But is it a forerunner -- as we have so many forerunners in the weather and with all the small quakes?

Yes. I believe so. I believe many of you reading this will live to see at least two massive regional events.

But it is not to be feared.

No one who prays should be afraid. No one who loves should fear. Perfect love casts out all fear. If we learn nothing else from prophecy, we should learn to protect ourselves with love.

I am intrigued by all those strange rumblings and "booms" heard around the world. Most recently: the UK. But they have been everywhere. Is there something stirring beneath our feet?

And what of the sky?

Again, we are alert for occultism. Occultists like "UFOs" and that sort of thing.

At the same instant, there are so many reports of strange lights that one wonders if these, too, may be signs (if not deceptions).

Plausible -- these visions?

Some day, there will certainly be upheaval, sooner rather than later, if the current pace is any gauge.

Let us approach the future with the optimism of a Christian, knowing that whatever occurs or does not occur, we know the "end of the world" will happen for every single person on earth, when each one of us dies, and that, praise God, there is Heaven after.

[Joe Brandt's vision: Joe was saying that he had an accident—a fall from a horse when he was 17, and for days he had a concussion. During this period, a continuous dream came again and again—as if he were viewing a tremendous earthquake and inundation in California and other parts of the world.

"I woke up in the hospital room with a terrific headache—as if the whole world was revolving inside my brain. I remember, vaguely, the fall from my horse—Blackie. As I lay there, pictures began to form in my mind—pictures that stood still. I seemed to be in another world. Whether it was the future, or it was some ancient land, I could not say. Then slowly, like the silver screen of the "talkies," but with color and smell and sound, I seemed to find myself in Los Angeles—but I swear it was much bigger, and buses and odd-shaped cars crowded the city streets.

"I thought about Hollywood Boulevard, and I found myself there. Whether this is true, I do not know, but there were a lot of guys my age with beards and wearing, some of them, earrings. All the girls, some of them keen-o, wore real short skirts. . . and they slouched along—moving like a dance. Yet they seemed familiar. I wondered if I could talk to them, and I said, "Hello," but they didn't see or hear me. I decided I would look as funny to them as they looked to me. I guess it is something you have to learn. I couldn't do it.

"I noticed there was a quietness about the air, a kind of stillness. Something else was missing, something that should be there. At first, I couldn't figure it out, I didn't know what it was—then I did. There were no birds. I listened. I walked two blocks north of the Boulevard—all houses—no birds. I wondered what had happened to them. Had they gone away? Again, I could hear the stillness. Then I knew something was going to happen.

"I wondered what year it was. It certainly was not 1937. I saw a newspaper on the corner with a picture of the President. It surely wasn't Mr. Roosevelt. He was bigger, heavier, big ears. If it wasn't 1937, I wondered what year it was. . . My eyes weren't working right. Someone was coming—someone in 1937—it was that darned, fat nurse ready to take my temperature. I woke up. Crazy dream.

"The next day: Gosh, my headache is worse. It is a wonder I didn't get killed on that horse. I've had another crazy dream, back in Hollywood. Those people. Why do they dress like that, I wonder? Funny glow about them. It is a shine around their heads—something shining. I remember it now. I found myself back on the Boulevard. I was waiting for something to happen and I was going to be there. I looked up at the clock down by that big theater. It was ten minutes to four. Something big was going to happen.

"Then, when it came, how it came. Like nothing in God's world. Like nothing. It was like the scream of a siren, long and low, or the scream of a woman I heard having a baby when I was a kid. It was awful. It was as if something—some monster—was pushing up the sidewalks. You felt it long before you saw it, as if the sidewalks wouldn't hold you anymore. I looked out at the cars. They were honking, but not scared. They just kept moving. They didn't seem to know yet that anything was happening.

"The earth seemed to start to tremble again. I could feel it even though I was high up. This time it lasted maybe twelve seconds, and it was gentle. You couldn't believe anything so gentle could cause so much damage. But then I saw the streets of Los Angeles—and everything between the San Bernardino mountains and Los Angeles. It was still tilting towards the ocean, houses, everything that was left. I could see the big lanes—dozens of big lanes still loaded with cars sliding the same way. Now the ocean was coming in, moving like a huge snake across the land. I wondered how long it was, and I could see the clock, even though I wasn't there on the Boulevard. It was 4:29. It had been half an hour. I was glad I couldn't hear the crying anymore. But I could see everything. I could see everything.

"Then, like looking at a huge map of the world, I could see what was happening on the land and with the people. San Francisco was feeling it, but she was not in any way like Hollywood or Los Angeles. It was moving just like that earthquake movie with Jeanette McDonald and Gable. I could see all those mountains coming together. . . I knew it was going to happen to San Francisco—it was going to turn over—it would turn upside down. It went quickly, because of the twisting, I guess. It seemed much faster than Hollywood, but then I wasn't exactly there. I was a long way off. I was a long, long way off. I shut my eyes for a long time—I guess ten minutes—and when I opened them I saw Grand Canyon.

"When I looked at Grand Canyon, that great big gap was closing in, and Boulder Dam was being pushed, from underneath. And then, Nevada, and on up to Reno. Way down south, way down. Baja, California. Mexico too. It looked like some volcano down there was erupting, along with everything else. I saw the map of South America, especially Colombia. Another volcano—eruption—shaking violently. I seemed to be seeing a movie of three months before—before the Hollywood earthquake. Venezuela seemed to be having some kind of volcanic activity. Away off in the distance, I could see Japan, on a fault, too. It was so far off—not easy to see because I was still on Big Bear Mountain, but it started to go into the sea. I couldn't hear screaming, but I could see the surprised look on their faces. They looked so surprised.

"I saw a lot of places that seemed safe, and people were not so scared. Especially the rural areas. Here everything was almost as if nothing had happened. People seemed headed to these places, some on foot, some in cars that still had fuel. I heard—or somehow I knew—that somewhere in the Atlantic land had come up. A lot of land. I was getting awfully tired. I wanted to wake up. I wanted to go back to the girl—to know where she was—and those two kids. I found myself back in Hollywood—and it was still 4:29. I wasn't up on Big Bear at all, I was perched over Hollywood. I was just there. It seemed perfectly natural in my dream.

"I could hear now. I could hear, someplace, a radio station blasting out—telling people not to panic. They were dying in the streets. There were picture stations with movies—some right in Hollywood—these were carrying on with all the shaking. One fellow in the picture station was a little short guy who should have been scared to death. But he wasn't. He kept shouting and reading instructions. Something about helicopters or planes would go over—some kind of planes—but I knew they couldn't. Things were happening in the atmosphere. The waves were rushing up now. Waves. Such waves. Nightmare waves.

"Then, I saw again. Boulder Dam, going down—pushing together, pushing together breaking apart—no, Grand Canyon was pushing together, and Boulder Dam was breaking apart. It was still daylight. All these radio stations went off at the same time—Boulder Dam had broken.

"I tried to see the island of Hawaii. I could see huge tidal waves beating against it. The people on the streets were getting wet, and they were scared. But I didn't see anybody go into the sea.

"I seemed way around the globe. More flooding. Is the world going to be drenched? Constantinople. Black Sea rising. Suez Canal, for some reason seemed to be drying up. Sicily—she doesn't hold. I could see a map. Mt. Etna. Mt. Etna is shaking. A lot of area seemed to go, but it seemed to be earlier or later. I wasn't sure of time, now.

"England—huge floods—but no tidal waves. Water, water everywhere, but no one was going into the sea. People were frightened and crying. Some places they fell to the streets on their knees and started to pray for the world. I didn't know the English were emotional. Ireland, Scotland—all kinds of churches were crowded—it seemed night and day. People were carrying candles and everybody was crying for California, Nevada, parts of Colorado—maybe even all of it, even Utah. Everybody was crying—most of them didn't even know anybody in California, Nevada, Utah, but they were crying as if they were blood kin. Like one family. Like it happened to them.

"New York was coming into view—she was still there, nothing had happened, yet water level was way up. Here, things were different. People were running in the streets yelling—"end of the world." Kids ran into restaurants and ate everything in sight. I saw a shoe store with all the shoes gone in about five minutes. 5th Avenue—everybody running. Some radio blasting—bigger—a loud speaker—that in a few minutes, power might be shut off. They must control themselves. Five girls were running like mad toward the YMCA, that place on Lexington or somewhere. But nothing was happening in New York. I saw an old lady with garbage cans filling them with water. Everybody seemed scared to death. Some people looked dazed. The streets seemed filled with loud speakers. It wasn't daylight. It was night.

"I saw, like the next day, and everything was topsy turvy. Loud speakers again about fuel tanks broken in areas—shortage of oil. People seemed to be looting markets."]
