IN THE PURIFICATION OF CHRIST-MASS SHOULD BE PURIFICATION OF OBJECTS IN OUR HOMES
By Michael H. Brown
Christmas is a time to purify not
only our souls -- which are foremost -- but also our homes. I have written previously on how
objects can have a spiritual effect. There are holy objects, and so there
are also unholy objects; objects to which heavenly beings are attached,
and objects that draw the dark side. Is this not logical?
In many cases, there are more of these than one comprehends and the days leading up to purity of Christ's birth are an excellent time -- perhaps the best -- to purify.
Go through the house and rid it of objects that smack of the occult or salaciousness. Anything linked to the supernatural (other than that associated with Jesus), and anything attached to lust, should be cast out.
Sometimes disturbances in your family can be caused by spiritual forces attached to a book, a statue, a poster (especially of heavy-metal rockers), or other items. It is not superstition.
We received correspondence from the owner of an antique shop out west whose little shopping plaza experienced bizarre, devastating, and inexplicable problems until it was purged.
"It is not necessary for a physical object to have been made for occult use, in order or it to have evil attached to it," noted one viewer with expertise in this realm. "Ordinary objects which are used for immoral purposes, especially weapons, can become infested. Any material object, to which we give undue affection, bordering upon adoration, which is only due to God, attracts spirits of evil. This is part of the curse of materialism. It can be anything from tattoos to luxury cars."
In the Bible, teraphim, or household gods, are mentioned several times. These were human figures and statues from which oracles were sought. Anything we idolize or that represents a dark side of human nature can have a spiritual attachment.
One deliverance expert recounted how he received a plea from a family whose grandmother recently died. Shortly afterward, apparitions were reported, as well as strange happenings in regard to her favorite chair. "The grandmother had been involved in witchcraft," he noted. "It was necessary to remove all witchcraft paraphernalia from the house and to command the familiar spirit to leave."
A "familiar" spirit is a dark spirit with whom we become familiar due to sinful contact. There are also curses attached to certain objects. Just as an object can be blessed, so can it be cursed.
"Several years ago when my daughter was still a senior in high school, her class took a trip to a museum in New Orleans to visit an art exhibit," noted viewer Maureen Carter of Kennesaw, Georgia. "In the museum there was an Egyptian exhibit on the floor below where they were visiting. I believe it was King Tut, but am not exactly sure. While there, the museum's lights and fire alarms would continually go off, so much so that the museum staff had everyone exit and closed the building and stated that nothing like that had ever happened before.
"Other strange
things happened after they all left the building, for instance, black crows
with red eyes that wouldn't move as you walked near them. On the way home,
the bus driver got lost. Then on the bridge heading out of New Orleans, the
bus blew a tire and almost went off the bridge.
"What I found really strange was that these kids had grown up with each other since second grade, spent summers together, and so forth. After they returned from this trip, most of them went their separate ways and didn't associate with each other any longer (but a few). My daughter also had strange dreams afterward. In my opinion, these Egyptian exhibits are very dangerous to be around."
Even archeologists have logged bizarre and unfortunate events in association with Egyptian artifacts.
Recently we received correspondence from a woman who cleans house for the daughter of an extremely rich, famous, and irreligious (even anti-Christian) man. In the house are odd symbols, statues, and paintings, including one of what looks like an "angel" with detached wings in the back, vacant dark sockets for eyes, no mouth, and an arm missing. It caused a spiritual aura around it. "The feeling I get from these paintings is evil," she confided to us. "There is a feeling of death, doom, disaster about these paintings." Others are also uncomfortable about them. That's the inner spirit warning. If something gives you the "willies" -- including an antique -- there may be a reason for it.
Sometimes -- mostly -- the reason is hidden.
In prayer to the Holy Spirit -- with the guidance of our Immaculate Mother -- we are directed in removing anything we may need to remove. Pray for her guidance this time of year -- then go on a little "housecleaning" of your own. Isn't it ironic that it would be a cleaning woman who would spot the problem at the rich person's home?
Christmas is also a good time to ask the Lord to purge family or "familial" (as opposed to familiar) spirits.
These can be demonic forces that attach not to a single person or object or home, but to a family, sometimes for generations.
"Renounce the familiar spirits," wrote an expert named Frank D. Hammond. "Fall out of agreement with the familiar spirits. Destroy anything that you have in your possession that would give a legal right for such a spirit to remain. Tell it that it is not needed or wanted. Resist and cast out the demonic spirits, using your authority as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ." It is especially important to use the specific Name of "Jesus." In His presence no force -- however fiercely it will masquerade -- can remain.
Purge your home with Holy Water this holiday. Surround your property with blessed salt. Let the Infant in His purity reign!
Replace every thing dark with something bright.
It will also protect against the forces that swirl around people.
And always keep in mind that we are blessed before we are cursed. There is a blessing at the foundation of our beings. God laid those blessings down, and they are stronger than any negative.
At the bottom of your being, you are a victor; you are "programmed" to win; you are not cursed; you are blessed.
Said that cleaning woman at the rich daughter's house: "Despite the darkness in the home, I feel very safe. I feel the presence of a multitude of good angels as I clean with holy water added to my spray bottles, wear my scapular and Miraculous Medal, and as I pray the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, St. Michael prayer and other prayers all day long. I feel the protection of even more good angels inside that house than I do outside that house. The bad angels are at bay."
