From WESH2News:
Right on the heels of Helene’s rapid intensification and landfall in Florida, the National Hurricane Center says they’re watching three additional areas of interest, all with significant formation chances.
Invest 98-L, currently midway between the Cabo Verde Islands and the Lesser Antilles, is producing an area of low pressure with well organized showers and thunderstorms, the NHC said. According to the NHC, environmental conditions are conducive for further development, meaning a tropical depression or tropical storm “could form at any time today.” The system is expected to move west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph, then slow down and turn north-northwestward by this weekend.
