Events heighten in accord with prophecy
We are now in a heightened stage of events, which we have long said will increase gradually.
Perhaps it is time to go back to a simple sentence in the "1990 prophecy," which stated that "chastisements will differ according to regions, and like the great evil, will not always or usually be immediately noticeable for what they are."
Since 1990, the world has witnessed tremendous natural upheaval -- specific to various regions, and virtually never recognized (even by the Church) as "chastisements."
A devastating mudslide in Venezuela. A hurricane in Honduras that washes corpses across the border. Earthquakes. Northeasters. Wildfires. "Katrina." Now, two mega-disasters -- in Myanmar and China -- in a week while twisters rip through the Midwest and fires through Florida.
They have been particular to regions and year after year have in fact and without dispute graduated in intensity.
What were now dozens or hundreds dead is turning into thousands and tens of thousands and so it is a time to pray, look urgently at our society, and review the very construct of modern life.
Interesting it was -- in light of the 1990 prophecy, which said part of the problem in the world is what we have done to God's Creation -- how the media carried articles last week on a town in Pitcher, Oklahoma, where mining has ravaged the ecology to the point where creeks are poisoned, disease is rampant, and businesses are shuttered.
Days later, that very same town was literally wiped off the map in the outbreak of tornadoes. It does not plan to rebuild.
In Missouri, a town called Times Beach that had to be abandoned due to dioxin contamination has been reclaimed by nature and is now a park.
This is the trend: a breakdown of our artifice. It is also a response to such things as genetic manipulation. See too the "addendum" 1990 prophecy.
There will be many waves. There will be great storms. The catastrophic effect of earthquakes will predominate. There will be the fear of a comet that will not come.
"In the period also will be a warning that involves not fire from the sky but fear of fire from the sky, and strange loud rumblings," said the 1990 prediction.
