One Million Moms is warning Christian parents about a new Disney series centered on teenage witches and warlocks, arguing that the show presents occult themes as entertainment for young viewers.
“Coven Academy,” a supernatural teen drama, is scheduled to premiere Oct. 1 on Freeform, with the season beginning to stream the following day on Disney+, Hulu and Freeform on Demand. The series is set in New Orleans and follows three teenage witches and their warlock classmates at an elite school for magic. According to Disney, the students navigate dangerous secrets, supernatural conflicts and forbidden romances while trying to protect themselves and the city.
