Mailbag: Does Pope’s Death Augur War?

April 25, 2025 by sd

From Cathy Fernandes:

Francis visited Pius X’s tomb shortly before his death.   Recall that Benedict XVI visited the tomb of Celestine V in 2009 who abdicated in 1294 (see link below.)   He placed the woolen pallium he had worn during his installation Mass on Celestine’s casket.  This visit was later highlighted when Benedict XVI abdicated in 2013!   According to a Vatican historian interviewed on Rome Reports, one of the things Pius X is remembered for, is that he died of sorrow 3 weeks AFTER WWI STARTED!  He said that Pius X knew there would be a slaughter and the inference is that this caused him to die of grief. Pope Francis repeatedly warned about nuclear war.   Did Francis visit Pius X’s tomb because he felt a connection with him since WWIII is going to end with a nuclear exchange?  Did Pope Francis offer his life to lessen the severity of what’s coming?   How close are we to the endgame now that Francis is dead?
