According to lip reader Nicola Hickling, the conversation began with Melania Trump asking Macron, “Hello, how are you?” to which Macron remarked on the robot’s appearance, saying, “The eyes are a bit mad.” Melania Trump reportedly responded by stating, “It’s evil, wow, that’s a different class, isn’t it?” before addressing the summit crowd with the greeting, “Good morning, and welcome to the White House.”
