From the Wall Street Journal:
In Verona, N.J., a 12-foot, laser-eyed animatronic skeleton groans and shifts its gargantuan frame over a graveyard of skulls. It is the towering centerpiece of Anthony Carrara’s front yard. Carrara and his wife are Halloween devotees who frequent haunted houses and horror-themed bars. This year, they ramped up their home display, deploying a grim reaper, a zombie, animal skeletons and Oogie Boogie from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
It was all too much for one neighbor. Within two days of putting up his decorations in late September, Carrara, 40, received an anonymous note from a local parent complaining that the ghoulish display was terrorizing their children as they walked to school.
