Stickers mocking Donald Trump and highlighting the consequences of his war on Iran have begun appearing on petrol pumps before the midterm elections in November. The stickers, which resemble those used in a 2021 campaign that mocked Joe Biden, then US president, bear the phrase “I did that!” and are often placed to highlight high petrol prices. That earlier version of the satirical trend, featuring a photograph of a buoyant Mr Biden drawing gun fingers, began appearing during a period of soaring inflation early in his presidency.
They have now come to bite Mr Trump, with new incarnations of the stickers seen in supermarkets and petrol stations in recent days and shared on social media.
