California’s sprawling network of military installations, federal facilities and immigration enforcement sites could become flashpoints under a nationwide mobilization plan drawn up by activists with ties to Cuba, according to an alarming new State Department report.
The plan outlines “coordinated nationwide actions” within 24 hours if there is an “imminent threat” or a US military move against Cuba. Organizers would focus on military bases, recruitment offices, federal buildings, ICE facilities and even sports arenas during big events, the documents say.
