Last night, my son Jordan came into my room and said, “Mom, let me tell you what happened to me today! I was at Walmart, getting ready to leave, and my car battery was dead.

So, I went back into the store and bought some jumper cables.

There was a man in a white truck parked next to me. I asked if he could give me a jump. He told me what I really needed was a new battery. I explained that I couldn’t afford a new battery right now because I had a $400 insurance bill due today. The man asked if I was a single parent since I had the baby with me, and I told him, ‘No, her mom was at work.’ He then told me to pull around to the auto department, so I did, thinking he was going to have them charge my battery.

Walmart’s auto department was really busy, so the man suggested I follow him to AutoZone instead. I followed him to the store, where he went inside and spoke with someone. He then came out to my car and told me that someone would be out in a few minutes. He shook my hand and drove off. A few minutes later, an employee came out with a brand-new battery to install in my car!”

Jordan had tears in his eyes as he said, “Mom, I didn’t even get the man’s name!”

To the gentleman driving a white truck in North Augusta yesterday, who helped my son and granddaughter—thank you!!
