From The New York Times:
The United States bombed military installations late Friday night on Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil export hub, and President Trump threatened to “wipe out” the oil infrastructure there if Iran continued to block the Strait of Hormuz and hobble the global oil trade.
Mr. Trump’s threat did not immediately appear to force Iran to back down from its blockade of the strait, through which one-fifth of the world’s oil tankers transit. Instead, on Saturday, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said it would retaliate to such an American attack by turning U.S. regional assets to “a pile of ash.”
