A Hampton teenager whose survival as a newborn was recognized by the Catholic Church as a miracle is now wanted by police in Rhode Island in connection with a double shooting.
Newport police in Rhode Island announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for 19-year-old Tyquan Johnson on charges of felony assault with a firearm and firing in a compact area. Investigators are asking for the public’s help locating Johnson, who they say is wanted in connection with a double shooting. As reported by our sister station, WPRI, Newport police consider Johnson armed and dangerous. Newport police confirm Johnson was born on Jan. 14, 2007, and listed a Hampton home as his last known address. This matched the same Johnson whose birth was recognized by the Vatican.
