As two blazes in Spain risk merging amid tricky firefighting conditions today, France has called in the army and more than 270,000 people have been forced to flee their homes across the two countries. Huge forest blazes have become out of control amid strong gusting winds on Saturday, as Brits were among the tourists facing being evacuated from hotels in the dead of night.
