Let’s call this “odds and ends,” as we do on occasion.
And we’ll start at what some may interpret as signs of the times—whether warning or promise—in the sky. You may remember this “word of knowledge”: “In the sky will be written the dangers of the day, and on earth will be the fear of misery as the ultimate plague. Only when men treat God for Who He is will events so foretold ease and the earth settle in the purity of love and obedience, in safety and harmony. Without obedience, the whole of hell will be unleashed and the warring spirit of man unchained. In your heart, see God for Who He is and what good He brings — the joy that can be yours even in consternation.”
You have perhaps seen this one [below] of the sky above the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and behind the Washington Monument the day after the nation was consecrated to the Sacred Heart by a gathering of U.S. bishops at Mary Queen of the Universe Basilica in Orlando [at top].

We ran the photo through both ChatGPT and Gemini to check, as we often do, if it was generated by the trickery of A.I. Gemini said it was authentic. ChatGPT said it was computer-generated. A second try with Gemini said the picture was legitimate but had been enhanced with artificial means, which amounts to both chat engines being correct in their own peculiar renderings.
Said Chat: “The safest description is: a dramatic image of the Washington Monument during a storm, likely enhanced and possibly composited, combining rainbow, lightning, sunset color, and reflection for maximum effect. It has a symbolic ‘heaven-and-judgment’ look: rainbow covenant on one side, electric rupture on the other, the white obelisk standing between them like a measuring rod.
Some believe the original was more like this (seen on “X”):

One can say this: on June 12, 2026, a stunning rainbow—and in many areas, a double rainbow—appeared across the Washington, D.C. skyline following severe thunderstorms. ChatGPT said the photo had been enhanced in the way of color and sharpness. Because the severe thunderstorms struck late in the evening on June 12, many of the most striking photographs—including shots of lightning spidering directly above the monument alongside the double rainbow—flooded social media and news outlets the next day, June 13, apparently leading to confusion about the exact date.
The storm system moved out overnight, leaving June 13 relatively clear, though another separate round of stormy weather and a sunset rainbow returned to the National Mall a couple of days later on June 14.
What if anything did/does it mean?
There is the promise in a rainbow (dating back to Noah) while lightning is usually more associated with judgment.
Some saw an angel. Some a demon. (Some saw it mainly associated with the Monument; others with the Kennedy Center.)
The same can be said of the smoke rising last week (June 19) from a massive wildfire near Miami. Is there a gaping serpent?
Here is simply the sky from a “cold blob” responsible for potentially catastrophic shifts in India’s monsoon season taking hold. It could affect one billion people (prayer need). The abnormally cold patch of water in the North Atlantic Ocean has triggered changes in the Indian summer monsoon via the jet stream winds, new research suggests.
Meantime, when it comes to looking up, here are two seers on Apparition Hill in Medjugorje viewing the Virgin Mary simultaneously last night (June 22)—unusual in that they usually do so apart. Heavenly Father, we gently place all our readers and viewers into Your tender care. Watch over their families and all who serve alongside them. Let Your peace rest upon their hearts, and bless the work of their hands and the needs of their home. Surround them with Your angels, guarding them with quiet, steady protection. We ask this in the loving name of Jesus. Amen.
Rare indeed (very) is the person who has gone there and not come back a believer.
But common it is for ardent skeptics never to have been there. Perhaps one can call it “armchair discernment.” Many make snap decisions in our times, at times rafting the cascades of information (and misinformation).
Be careful with posts and podcasts, as well as photographs. They can be great and they can be misleading. As humans, we are all prone, from time to time, to error. (“The Lord rebuke you, spirit of pride.”)
At any rate, stay tuned. The times, and signs of the times, as a singer once sung, “they are a’changing.”
