Vladimir Putin could attack a Nato country within weeks to test the alliance, US intelligence has warned.
US officials said Russia might try to test Nato’s resolve with a small land incursion or cyber attack at any point between this autumn and 2029, The Wall Street Journal reported. Last month, The Telegraph revealed that Moscow was planning an armed “provocation” on Polish soil as one option to destabilize the Nato alliance. Reports of a possible provocation come after a Russian missile landed in Poland last week and an explosive drone was found at Leipzig/Halle airport in Germany on Tuesday.
