From the London Mail [caution tabloid]:
Craig Hamilton-Parker, a UK-based psychic nicknamed the “Prophet of Doom,” said in a September 24 video that another pandemic was coming, this time a bacterial illness affecting the lungs. He said two Tibetan monks showed up at his home unannounced and gave him the warning. He described the illness as more biological in nature, faster-spreading, and much harder to control than COVID. He also said the monks knew of a cure recorded in ancient Tibetan texts, and that prophecy says the outbreak will ultimately be stopped, with AI helping develop treatments quickly.
His reputation rests on claims that he predicted COVID and Queen Elizabeth’s death. He pointed to a January 2020 video forecasting a flu-like pandemic starting in China, and a September 2019 video foreseeing one in late 2019 or 2020.
The Siberian case
Darya Shipilova, 28, reportedly worked at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Institute. Local outlet Lyudi Baikala said she told medical staff in late September that she had accidentally broken a test tube containing live bacteria. She was exposed to pneumonic plague, a severe, fast-moving lung infection, and died October 1.
The response
- Nearly 200 contacts were placed under medical observation, and a lockdown covered hospitals and medical centers across roughly 30 square miles.
- More than 60 of her colleagues are being kept inside the institute for days, though none have tested positive.
- Up to five Irkutsk-area hospitals are reportedly in “epidemic” mode, with hundreds of staff and patients unable to leave. Three city clinical hospitals and a children’s hospital are under a three-week quarantine, and a maternity hospital reportedly imposed one too.
- A mask mandate is in place, and officials have been photographed in hazmat suits.
- Russian officials haven’t confirmed plague as the cause of death. The article says Putin’s government is downplaying the case, which has fueled suspicion of a cover-up, and a healthcare source claimed local doctors are openly discussing plague.
- Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US is monitoring the reports closely, calling it a reason for focus but not alarm. He noted travel between the US and Russia is very limited, but that something like this could spread quickly.
Background and caveats
Pneumonic plague is the deadliest form of plague and the only one that spreads person to person through respiratory droplets. Left untreated, it can cause swelling, fever, and death.
The article itself stresses that nothing shows Hamilton-Parker’s prophecy foresaw the Russian case, and that vague psychic predictions are easily fitted to events after the fact.
